Michelle’s dance experience spans 25 years with 10 as a professional dancer. Michelle has danced professionally in many capacities including a music video for MTV Africa, various music artists, and Princess Cruise Lines. Her return home led to an offer as a dancer and magician’s assistant in Branson, Missouri. Following this contract, she began her competitive career. Since 2012 she has been a professional competitor with the National Dance Council of America in American Rhythm, actively competing across the United States. She solidified her passion for dancing in college through her involvement in the dance team, dance company, and local theaters. She was also head choreographer each semester. For the school’s production of Sweet Charity, she was a part of the ensemble and was cast as Judy Turner in A Chorus Line in the local theater. These initial experiences carried her to numerous ballroom studios throughout New York from 2010 and then opening her own in 2017. She takes pride in choreographing wedding routines and teaching at various venues across Long Island. As a professional, she continues weekly study with World and American Rhythm Champions, Jose Decamps and Joanna Zacharewicz, as well as ballet training with Executive Artistic Director of the Eglevsky Ballet, Maurice Brandon Curry. In her spare time, she takes Lyra lessons with professional aerialists. Dance is not only her work, but her life’s passion.
